Radon Testing

Homeowners can request a free, or reduced cost radon test kit by visiting www.ohio.radon.com/ohio and filling out the request form. If you prefer you can contact ODH (Ohio Dept. of Health) at 614-728-0272. Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer for non-smokers and the second leading cause for smokers. You can not see smell or taste radon so it is important to test your home every 2 years. If radon levels come back at 4.0 or above you should act to protect yourself and your family, protecting your  family from getting homesick. Reach out to Radon Reductions if you have questions about how to perform the radon test or if you have questions after you receive your results. Our mission is to educate and promote awareness of Radon, we are here to help!

Radon Mitigation

Assessing your unique home characteristics will determine which radon mitigation system is going to work best to lower the radon in your home. The most common mitigation method is active soil depressurization. Assisting in removing radon gas from below the concrete floor,.

Homes with a basement or slab on grade foundation, radon can be lowered by using one of these four types of active soil depressurization.

* sub-slab depressurization

*drain tile depressurization

*sump hole depressurization

*block wall depressurization
